Berrie Martens paints Happy People of all the countries of the world. The original painting of each country will be offered to a person who has distinguished himself in a positive way in that country. In this way the Belgian legendary cyclist Eddy Merckx was presented the Happy People of Belgium by Berrie Martens.

The original painting of the Happy People of Holland will be offered to Her Majesty Queen Beatrix who has been patroness of Unicef Holland for 25 years. Kofi Annan, Shakira and Robbie Williams have been nominated for Ghana, Colombia and England.

Replicas

Replicas of all countries are also for sale. The edition per country and per size is 200. They will be autographed and numbered by the artist.

Sculptures

Sculptures of each country are for sale in the sizes 200 cm, 90 cm and 45 cm. Apart from these, two four metre tall sculptures will be made for each country; 1 four metre tall Happy People of the World sculpture will be placed in its country. The other sculpture is a sort of relative. This family will constitute a whole just like a real Happy Family."I think it will be fantastic when there is a Happy People sculpture in every country of the world as a symbol for a better world", says Berrie Martens.
